Sylvia J. Brunson, age 76, passed away Aug. 19, 2014, after a long hard fought battle with dementia. Sylvia was born on Nov. 11, 1937, in Holt, Fla. and graduated from Baker High School in 1956. Sylvia married William D. Brunson on March 14, 1958, and they made their home in Crestview, Fla. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed working with her flowers, cooking and shopping. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and we are all blessed to have been loved by her.

Sylvia is survived by her husband of 56 years, William; two daughters, Cindy Egan her husband, Joe, and Kathy Ray, husband Tim; and one granddaughter, Nicole Ray.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl E Ruch Sr. and Susanna Ruch; and two brothers, Carl (Butch) Ruch Jr. and Jimmy Ruch.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 22 at Brackney Funeral Service in Crestview. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Mrs. Addie Johnson for all the extra care and support she gave Sylvia and her family. Also, special thanks are extended to Covenant Hospice for their support through this difficult time.
