Walter was born to Albert and Virginia Bainbridge, Oct. 10, 1931, in Fort Myers, Fla., and passed away Sept. 24, 2012, in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. He graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1949 and served 24 years in the Air Force as a missile maintenance technician. After retiring he spent his remaining years selling real estate at Four Seasons Reality in Fort Walton Beach.
In 1953, he married Mickey Corbitt and had one son, Carl. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Matt and Sara and their spouses; one great-granddaughter; two sisters, Mary Shell and Allen Bower of Fort Myers; sister-in-law, Claribelle Hudson; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road, N.E, Fort Walton Beach, FL, on Sept. 27, 2012, at 4 p.m., family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
