1926 – 2017
W.C. Jones, age 90 of Crestview passed on Monday, March 27, 2017, in Pensacola at the Joyce Goldenburg Hospice Facility. He was born in Geneva, AL on April 29, 1926, to Palmer and Mattie Jones. W.C. moved to the Crestview area in 1953. He worked as a retail grocer and started the Tom Thumb. W.C. was a member of Woodlawn Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of 70 years Earline Jones; children: Rodney Jones, Richard Jones and his wife Michele, and Linda Jones. Also surviving are his 9 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
The celebration of W.C.'s life will be on Saturday, April 1st, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodlawn Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the Liveoak Park Memorial Cemetery. A time of visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in W.C.'s memory to Covenant Care Hospice and the Joyce Goldenburg Hospice Facility in Pensacola.
