Master Sgt. Tommy L. Posey passed away at his home on Feb. 13, 2014. He was born in Woodville, Fla., on Aug. 1, 1925, to Will and Maude Posey. Tommy retired from the United States Air Force after 22 years of service. After his retirement he continued work in Civil Service for Eglin Air Force Base. He was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church in Fort Walton Beach for over 17 years, and a member of the Masonic Alpha Lodge #172. Tommy enjoyed gardening and fishing. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Edna Posey; his son, Bill Posey and wife Melanie; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at Hollywood Baptist Church, 204 Hollywood Blvd. N.E., Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548, on Monday, Feb. 17, at 11:30 a.m. The family will begin receiving guests at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Beal Memorial Cemetery, Fort Walton Beach, Fla. The family would like to say thank you to Hospice, Comfort Keepers, and a special thanks to Soledad Valadez and Angie File for your support during this illness. Tommy will be missed by all that knew him.
