The family of Herbert Gluth would like to announce that he has been called to join his lovely wife, Adele, in Heaven. After nearly 50 years of marriage, they now have eternity to spend together.
The Guest Book is expired.
Herb was a great man and will be forever missed by his children, Nora, Kathy, Tina and Herbie. The grandchildren, Anna, Leslie, Stephanie, Nick and Danny are left with treasured memories to share among the great-grandchildren, Shawn, Jake, Marie, and future generations of the family. We thank Herb for his military service to our nation in the Korean War as well as the guidance he gave family and friends. In his German/Yankee/Southern accent, his words will live on telling us to be true to the Lord and faithful to family as well as oneself. Rest in peace, Daddy, Pop Pop, O-Pa, Soldier.
A celebration of Herb's life will be held at 3 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m., until service time.
Arrangements are entrusted to Whitehurst Powell Funeral Home in Crestview. Guest book and condolences are available online at www.whitehurstpowellfuneralhome.com.
