Reuben Francis Charcas, age 29, passed away March 6, 2014, from an automobile accident. He was born March 2, 1985, at the Eglin AFB hospital, Fla., to Richard and Patricia Charcas of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

Reuben is survived by his parents, brothers, Alexander and Richard J. Charcas, sister, Jeanine Charcas, and a dear friend Megan Romanick and her daughter, Dahlia.
Reuben graduated from Choctawhatchee High School in 2003 where he played trumpet for the Choctawhatchee Style Marchers. He attended Okaloosa-Walton Junior College and Okaloosa Applied Technology Center where he studied automotive mechanics.
His early passion was playing bass guitar in a rock band. His true calling was preparing gourmet meals. He was employed at Margaretville Beach Hotel on Pensacola Beach as a Chef.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday March 11, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Beal Memorial Cemetery, Fort Walton Beach, Fla. Officiating will be Rabbi Jordan Gerson of B'Nai Israel Synagogue.
