Heaven's door has opened up for another Angel, Margie Sue Chapman Miller of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, April 21, 2014, at her home. She was born on May 31, 1936, in Salisbury, N.C., to Charles A. and Maudie Chapman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam R. "Bud" Miller, and eleven brothers and sisters. Margie was a resident of Fort Walton Beach since 1969 and worked at Meigs Junior High, a volunteer at the Fort Walton Beach Medical Center Auxillary, active member of the Red Hat's Society and Calvary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and loving friend to many.
Survivors include her children, Cheryl Grissom and her husband, Jacky, of Buford, Ga., Wanda Peterson and her husband, Kent, of Miramar Beach, Fla., Annette Miller of Lilburn, Ga., Adam "Bud" Miller and his wife, Sonya, of Destin, Fla.; grandchildren, Jacky "Bo"Grissom and his wife, Brandi, of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Angel Grissom and Brent Pugh of Buford, Ga., Natalie Day and her husband, Andrew, of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla., Alena Peterson, of Miramar Beach, Fla., Adam Miller III and Jacob Miller of Destin , Fla.; great-grandchildren, Jacky Dan, Tristen, Kobe Grace, Ethan, Sydney, Brody and Emily.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Emerald Coast Funeral Home, 113 Racetrack Road, N.E. Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547.
Funeral services will be conducted from Calvary Baptist Church, 529 Clifford Street, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32547, on Thursday, April 24, 2014, at 9:30 a.m., with the Rev. Mark Stevens officiating. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery, Pensacola, Fla., at 1:15 p.m.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the Calvary Baptist Church.
