Mrs. Gypsie Nell Rhodes Hall, age 82, passed away Monday, June 9, 2014. She was born July 19, 1931, in Ponce De Leon, Fla., to William Angus and Annie Lee Carroll Rhodes.
Mrs. Hall was a resident of Walton County. She was Baptist by faith and a member of East Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, crocheting, and quilting, but above all, she treasured her family, giving them the gift of unconditional acceptance and love.
Mrs. Hall was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 48 years, Robert Winfred Hall; one daughter, Sharon Elaine Hall; two brothers, Willard Rhodes and Roy Rhodes; and two sisters, Cleotra Wolf and Clydus Sherrer.
Mrs. Hall is survived by one son, Kennith D. Gordon and wife Deanna of Pensacola, Fla.; one daughter, Brenda Hall Hoover and husband Dennis of Destin, Fla.; one brother, Billy Ray Rhodes and wife Pauline of DeFuniak Springs, Fla.; four grandchildren, Matt Gordon, Dylan Hoover, Mandy Gordon Forst and husband Erik, and Whitney Hoover; and five great-grandchildren, Colton, Cayden, Phoebe, Cian and Eli.
Visitation services will be held 10 to 11 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2014, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Park Ave., DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, June 13, 2014, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Chesnut officiating.
Burial will follow at Magnolia Cemetery.
Floral arrangements are being accepted.
