The late Robert George "Bob" Stockbridge of Shalimar passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014, following a brief illness.

Bob was born Nov. 4, 1930, in Natick, Mass., to the late Chester and Elizabeth Stockbridge. He met and married his loving and devoted wife of 64 years, Fay Elizabeth Stockbridge, on June 5, 1950, in New Orleans. After retiring from the Air Force, Bob resided in Gulfport, Miss., where he worked in refrigeration. Bob is survived by his six children Robert G. Stockbridge, Diane E. White, Karen A Stockbridge, Lynn A. Stockbridge, James A. Stockbridge and Steven G. Stockbridge; their spouses; nineteen grandchildren; and twenty-eight great grandchildren.
Visitation will start at 9:30 a.m., Monday, June 23, with funeral services to follow at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Will Ganci presiding. Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery in Pensacola, Fla., at 12:30 p.m. with Military Honors. Donations to St. Jude are requested in lieu of flowers.
