Fran Stanley, age 97, of Destin, Fla., entered into eternal life on July 10, 2014. Mrs. Stanley was born in Petersburg, Va., on Dec. 17, 1916, and lived for many years in West Palm Beach, Fla., prior to moving to Destin in 1997.

Fran grew up in Roanoke, Va.
Fran was a faithful and active member of Immanuel Anglican Church in Destin. Fran enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of a ladies bridge group in Kelly Plantation.
Fran is predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Lewis Stanley, as well as her parents, Joel and Mabel Harris.
Fran is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Roberson and her husband Clive of Palm Beach, Fla., and Nancy Mobley and her husband Forrest of Destin. She had four grandchildren, Angie Brown of London, England, Alison Gorrie of Birmingham, Ala., Mark Mobley of Boise, Idaho and Andrew Mobley of Puyallup, Wash. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
The Celebration of Fran's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2014, at Immanuel Anglican Church, 250 Indian Bayou Trail, Destin, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Fran's memory may be made to Immanuel Anglican Church.
