Espy was called home to be one of God's Angels on Saturday, 26 July, 2014 at 1:25 p.m., after a 2 year battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends in her home as she departed this life.

Espy was born in Panama City, Panama to Roberto and Elsa Diaz. She spent her years growing up as a military child living in Fort Clayton, Panama, Fort Benning, Ga., Berlin, Germany, and Fort Ord, Calif. She graduated from Cypress High School, Seaside, Calif. in 1992, and later received her Associates of Arts degree from the University of Phoenix.
22 years ago on Feb. 5, 1993, Espy married Christopher Alexander Duckworth in Monterey, Calif.; they had two beautiful children, Breanna Jaleesa Duckworth and Christopher Jermaine Duckworth.
Espy was a beautiful and loving mother, wife, sister, daughter, and friend. She devoted her life to her family and she was loved by every heart that she touched. She will be deeply missed by all and eternally loved.
A celebration of Espy's life will be held at 3 p.m. (CST). Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014, at Davis Watkins Crestview Memorial, 492 East Pine Ave., Crestview, FL 32539 with a visitation beginning at 1 p.m. (CST).
Octaviza Arasy "Espy" Duckworth will be laid to rest at 1 p.m. (EST). Aug. 11, 2014, in Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.
