Loren "Larry" Daetwiler of Niceville, Fla. passed away Thursday, Aug. 14, 2014. Larry was born in Compton, Calif. and grew up in Ramona, Kan. He graduated from Centre High School in Lost Springs, Kan. He attended Central Missouri State University and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
Larry served in the United States Air Force for four years. He was a lifelong civil service employee. He was the accounting and finance officer at Eglin Air Force Base and concluded his service as deputy chief of defense finance civilian pay at Pensacola Naval Air Station.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Lauren and "Jerry" Daetwiler. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Gail; son, Kurt and his wife Jenny; daughter, Kristen Bowers and her husband Sean; four grandsons, Kyle D., Chase D., Ryan B. and Reece B.; brother, Dennie; sister, Linda Barrington; and many other relatives.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Heritage Gardens Cemetery. Larry will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
