Earl Aplin, age 83, lifelong resident of Crestview, Florida, passed away at his home on August 15, 2014.

Earl served in the National Guard during his youth. He was a member of Concord Masonic Lodge 50, and a Shriner, and a retiree of Vitro Corporation. Earl was an active member and usher at First Baptist Church of Crestview.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Maris Aplin.
He is survived by a son, James D. (wife, Kathy) Aplin; two daughters, Janet (husband, Tommy) Hemmingway, of Callahan, Florida, and Janis (husband, Tommy) Fleming, of Crestview; a brother, Lee Aplin, of Port Huron, Michigan; two sisters, Barbara Terrell, of Crestview and Ruth Moore, of Baker, Florida; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at First Baptist Church of Crestview, with Rev. Alan Kilgore officiating. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Pallbearers are Scott Hemmingway, Jordan Hemmingway, Justin Fleming, Fletcher Fleming, Dwayne Aplin and Ryan Aplin. Burial will be in Liveoak Memorial Park.
