Terrell Seyvonne Avery, 65, entered into eternal peace on Aug. 22, 2014, at home with her loved ones. She was diagnosed with cancer 14 years ago, Terrell never gave up. She never complained, maintaining a brave outlook of an optimistic future even through countless radiation and chemotherapy treatments, hospitalizations in pain; she is a true inspiration to all of us.

Terrell was born on June 20, 1949, to the late Minnie Frank James and Peter Hutchinson. Terrell was born and raised in Anniston, Ala. and graduated from Cobb High School in Anniston. Terrell married the love of her life Joseph Avery on Aug. 19, 1973, and just celebrated their 41st anniversary. A 30 year resident of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Terrell was a beloved member of the community. Terrell was a very kind and gentle soul. She had a very loving and generous heart and always giving to others.
She leaves her loving memory to be cherished by her loving husband, Joseph Avery; sister, Valerie; brother, Charles Miller; children, Walter McGlothin (Trini Jones), John McGlothin (Tameika McGlothin) and Octavia Kiehn (Jack Kiehn); nine grandchildren, Michael Page, Brianna Kiehn, Destiny Kiehn, Jayden Kiehn, Zeyvian Hunter-Avery, Jade and Jada McGlothin, Jahmeka Stover and Tyrone Hill.
A viewing will be held on Friday, Aug. 29, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m. A service will immediately follow at 6 p.m. at Emerald Coast Funeral Home.
