Bruce Storr Obituary
He was born in New Brunswick, N.J., on July 18, 1940, to Robert Kenneth and Jane A. Storr. Bruce spent over 28 years in the U.S. Air Force, where he served his nation meritoriously at locations around the world. He culminated his long and distinguished career as a First Sergeant for the 33rd Fighter Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla.
After the military, Bruce remained in Northwest Florida with family and friends who warmly referred to him as "Daddy." He is survived by his wife, Chaow; and five children, Lance of Portland, Ore., Angel (Reginald) of Miramar, Fla., Ginny (Travis) Meek of Mary Esther, Fla., Jason (Rachael) of Independence, Mo., and Christopher of Mary Esther. Bruce had a host of grandchildren: Kenneth, Kiara, Jared, Melissa, Reginald Jr., Mikayla, Trinity, Avery and Emma. Bruce also leaves behind one sister, Roberta (Jim) Kent of Winfield, Ill., and their children, Christine and Todd. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, at Hurlburt Field Chapel at 5 p.m. A service of remembrance will follow at 6:30 p.m. with full military honors.
