Richard T. Geiselman, 68, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011, with family and friends by his side.
He was born Jan. 17, 1943, in Mansfield, Ohio, to George and Helen Besch Geiselman. Mr. Geiselman was a resident of Mossy Head, Fla., for the past 16 years and Protestant by faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force for more than 22 years before retiring at the rank of master sergeant, having earned numerous awards and decorations. He continued to serve his country as a Federal employee until 2006. He was a devoted, gracious, and caring husband, father and grandfather.
Mr. Geiselman was preceded in death by his father and mother. Mr. Geiselman is survived by his wife of 46 years, Karen L. Geiselman; two sons, Darrell C. Geiselman and wife, Candance, and Stephen R. Geiselman and wife, Cheryl; and two sisters, Judith L. Lamp and husband, John, and Linda L. Hazel. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Kristyn, Shane, McKenna, Blane, Emma, Jack and Heidi.
A time of visitation will be held from 4 to 5 p.m. Wednesday at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home, 230 Park Ave., DeFuniak Springs, Fla. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. Wednesday at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Joel Glenn officiating, with full military honors.
Burial will take place at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, May 5, at Barrancas National Cemetery, Naval Air Station, 1 Cemetery Road, Pensacola, Fla.
