Albert R. Kauses, age 69, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Albert was born in Utica, N.Y.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Virginia K. Roberts; his father, Albert V. Kauses; step-father, David L. Roberts; his daughter, Kaye Braun; and step daughter, Heidi Morris

He is survived by his wife Nancy Kauses; his daughters, Vicki Kallenburg and Barbie Holloway; sisters, Cheryl Roberts Mulhall, Susan Doxie and Kimberly Roberts; step daughter, Regina McKenna and step son Danny Retassie; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues. Al also leaves behind his beloved Muffin and Skipper.

Al had an extraordinary career in the Airborne Communications with the US Air Force from 1963 to 1993. He was awarded five bronze stars, a humanitarian award and many accomplishments while serving many years in Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm. Al served as Communications Specialist on Air Force One and Air Force Two and once retired spent 10 years with Florida Highway State Patrol. Al was also the proud chairman of the Florida Panhandle Patriots Tea Party and Vice President of the Okaloosa Republican Party.

Please join us in a Celebration of his life at Heritage Gardens Funeral Home in Niceville, Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at 11 a.m.

Viewing hours on Monday and Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. You may sign a guest book and offer the family condolences at Heritage Gardens Funeral home is entrusted with arrangements.
