Jerome 'Jerry' Leo Schwartz, 71, of Pace, Fla., passed away Saturday.
He was born to the late Leo and Francis Schwartz March 28, 1942, in Petersburg, Va. Jerry graduated from Pensacola High school in 1960. He served his country in the U.S. Army and in 1969 started his own business, Aqua Pool and Patio. He worked there until 2006 selling the business to retire.
Those who knew Jerry appreciated his larger than life personality with a contagious zest for life. He never met a stranger, was so eager to help others and did it with a kind heart. He was a giving person, but never wanted to be on the receiving end. Jerry was a prankster who loved to make people laugh.

He was the Road Captain of the Pensacola H.O.G Chapter, an active rider with The (NW Florida) Patriot Guard, and founding member of (NW Florida) The Weasels. He was an escort to WWII veterans on honor flights. His caring character led him to volunteer with Covenant Hospice serving on the Board of Directors.
Survived by his wife, June Schwartz, and their daughter, Karen Schwartz McClure; sons, Michael and Christopher Schwartz, and their mother, Margaret H. Schwartz; step-son, Billy Rahaim; step-daughter, Becky Slay; brother, David Schwartz; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews.
