After retiring from the Air force, he joined the Masons in 1980 where he truly thrived. His crowning achievement was managing the Shriners transportation system for over 18 years. He and the numerous volunteers he directed, took needy children and their families to the various Shrine Hospitals in the southeastern United States where they received free medical care. These achievements, along with his work in the "Toys for Tots" program, were a driving force in his life. He will truly be missed by family and friends.
