FOX RIVER GROVE – Steven W. Munson passed away unexpectedly at his home in Fox River Grove on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012.
He was born to Lowell and Diane (Gruel) Munson in Woodstock.
He attended school in Johnsburg.
Steven was an avid Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks fan. He enjoyed cooking and trying out new recipes, and many times inventing his own creations.
As a youngster, he always looked forward to the many camping trips he went on with his parents and aunts, uncles and many cousins. Steven and his cousins loved to fish and hike through the woods. The highlight of the day was when he and his cousins would be sitting around the campfire making s'mores and pudgie pies and talking about their adventures of the day.
He is survived by his mother, Diane (Gruel) Munson of Fox River Grove; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lowell Munson; uncles, Dale Munson and Lyle Munson; and cousins, Alex Zank-Bauman, David Yardley, Mark Yardley and Dorene Laurent.
A memorial service and burial will be in the spring.

Steven, you are now and always will be in our thoughts and prayers. We will always cherish the memories of our family get togethers, especially at Christmas when it could get a little hectic, but it was all worth it when we saw you and your cousins faces light up when opening your presents. Our love and prayers goes out to you, Diane, at the loss of your son. Aunt Sharon and Uncle Bob
