I recently came across the news that Estella passed away earlier this year, and I would like to give her family my deepest condolences. She was a wonderful person who welcomed us into her home many years ago. Our memory of her and her family is very endearing and we are very sad to hear about her passing.

I wanted to add...that Stella came to us shortly after Lucille passed away...telling us she missed
Lucille so much and wanted to take care of someone. We were the lucky recipients of her love and care-taking.
I remember Stella pulling up to the front of the house once when the kids were older...in her big Cadillac...we were out in the front yard..and she ran up to Jordan...lifted him up...and yelled "My Jordan, My Tyler"! He was about 5 by then...so it was super funny to see her lift him and see his reaction!! We loved her so much.........

We are so sad to hear about this....Stella took care of Tyler and Jordan for several years when they were little...and took care of our whole family. She was a real member of our family. We used to call her Our Angel. I have never meant a more loving caring, giving person in my whole life. I am so sad that as time went on we lost contact with you, Stella. We love you with all of our hearts....The Zekens....

It is with great sadness, I read in today's paper of the passing of Estella Villareal of Crystal Lake. It has been some time since I had seen Stella, but I have thought of her often, and appreciate her for who she is. Stella was very important to the Raue family of Raue Hardware in downtown Crystal Lake.
Stella took care of the Raue family when they needed someone the most. Whether it was tending to a member of the family who was ill; working at the hardware store; cooking for the family, or in the end just being a friend.
For Lucile Raue, the last surviving member of the family, it would have been a very difficult and lonely time, if not for Stella. Stella was her constant companion, and even called her "Mother".
Stella and her family even took charge of the funeral arrangements, including a get-together at the Raue home after Lucile's funeral. This allowed friends an opportunity to walk one block from the funeral home to the Raue family home for fellowship and reminiscing of Lucile's life.
The passing of Lucile was very difficult for Stella. It was very painful for her to visit us at The Flag Store, as this store now occupied the space where Raue Hardware had been for so many years.
Stella lived her life to be a friend to others. She didn't expect a lot for herself, but wanted the best for her family and friends.
My sympathy goes out to the Villareal family. They will miss this important member of their family. However, they can take comfort in knowing they were blessed with the heritage of Estella Villareal. Stella was the best! I am glad that I knew her.
She made a difference just being Stella. May she rest in peace.
Sincerely,
