Connelly, Diane - Algonquin  
Diane Connelly Born: December 6th, 1944 Died: May 25th, 2016 Diane Connelly, 71, passed away after a 1 year and 7 month fight against Pancreatic Cancer on Wednesday, May 25th, 2016 at the Pepper Family Hospice Care Center in Barrington. She was born in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany on December 6th, 1944, the daughter of Teofile and Anthony Steinys, stepfather, Ken Mead. Surviving are her husband Bill Connelly; daughters, Kimberly (Pete) Lombardo, Carolyn (Todd) Rittmueller; grandchildren, PJ Lombardo, Stella Lombardo, Lillian Lombardo, Luke Lombardo, Grace Rittmueller, Kaylie Rittmueller, Maximilian Rittmueller and Cecilia Rittmueller. She was preceded in death by her parents; Anthony Steinys, Teofile and Ken Mead; sister, Angela Bhatti; and niece, Lubi DeGuzman. Diane was happily married to Bill for 43 years. She was a devoted Mother to Kimberly and Carolyn who always made her laugh and smile. She was a proud Grandma to eight grandchildren who she adored. Prior to retirement Diane worked as a paralegal for 20 years. After retiring she enjoyed reading and traveling the world. She was an avid gardener, and member of the Algonquin Garden Club. She served as president in 2014 of the Club. Her flowers will forever bloom and her smiles will forever remain in the hearts of the people she loved. A wake will be held at Willow Funeral Home; 1415 W. Algonquin Rd. Algonquin, IL 60102 on Wednesday, June 1st, 2016 from 3:00 to 8:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, 2016 at 11:30 at St. Margaret Mary Church-111 S. Hubbard St, Algonquin, IL 60102. There will be a visitation 1 hour prior to mass. Lennon, Lois E. - McHenry  
Lois E. Lennon Born: January 8, 1934 Died: May 13, 2016 Lois E. Lennon, age 82, of McHenry, passed away Friday, May 13, 2016, at Fox Point Assisted Living, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 8, 1934, to Louis and Myrtle (Leitman) McElmeel in Oak Park, IL. On September, 24, 1955, she married Daniel Lennon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg, IL. Lois was employed at Frank Low Insurance, and was an Administrative Assistant at St. Mary's Catholic School. An avid golfer, she enjoyed the greens at Plum Lake Golf Course in Sayner, WI. In 2000, Lois moved to Florida, where she became a member of the Lake Fairways Country Club in North Fort Myers. She also loved to snowmobile in Wisconsin. Above all, she loved her family, and was a loving mother, and doting grandmother, who will be missed by many. Lois is survived by her three sons, Daniel Lennon, Scott (Karal) Lennon, Jeff (Judy) Lennon; five grandchildren, Jazmin, Aubree, Colleen, Daniel, Jeremy; and her sister, Gloria Freeto. In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel on April 16, 2010. The cremation rite will be accorded privately. McCormick, Thomas - Gilbert, Az  
Thomas R. McCormick Born: March 5, 1938 Died: May 24, 2016 Thomas McCormick, 78, of Mesa, Ariz., and formerly of Harvard, died in his home on Tuesday, May 24, 2016. He was born March 5, 1938, in Harvard, to Raymond and Eva (Pennington) McCormick. He married Nancy Phillips on November 9, 1957, in Harvard, IL. He was a retired employee of Northern IL Gas Company, in Crystal Lake, IL with 37 years of service. He was a military veteran having served in the U.S. Marines from 1956-1958. Survivors include his wife, Nancy McCormick of Gilbert, AZ; two sons, Tim (Michele) of Niceville, FL. and Kelly (Kathy) of Lockport, IL.; five granddaughters; Jessica, Brittany, Taylor, Molly and Meggie McCormick, a sister; Kathy McMartin of Stockton, CA; a brother; Robert McCormick, of Harvard, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Interment will be in Walworth, Wisc Cemetery.

Berg, Barbara Ann - Huntley  
Barbara Ann Berg Born: September 10, 1924 Died: May 21, 2016 Barbara Ann Berg, 91, of Huntley, a retired Registered Nurse, passed away at her home on the morning of Saturday, May 21, 2016. She was born on September 10, 1924, in Chicago, the daughter and one of nine girls to Francis and Elizabeth (Hollich) Koegel. She graduated from St. Mary of Nazareth School of Nursing. She met Arthur V. Berg in 1948 at Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. They were united in marriage on October 28, 1950 in Chicago. Barbara worked as a surgical nurse at a variety of Chicagoland institutions including, Illinois Research, Holy Family Hospital and she retired from St. Matthew Convalescent Center in the mid 1980's. The couple made their home in Chicago and later the northwest suburbs, moving to Huntley in 2002. Barbara was very social, loved people, was compassionate, an avid reader and active in her church. She loved musicals, concerts and movies and was known as a master storyteller. She is survived by her children, Royal (Monica) Berg of Oak Brook, Marian (Tina de La Luz) Berg of Albuquerque, Carrie (Mike) Gordon of Fort Collins, Colorado, Thomas Berg of Downers Grove, Gregory (Kimberly) Berg of Bloomington, Paul Berg of Chicago, Dr. Christopher (Laurie) Berg of Hinsdale and Timothy (Linda) Berg of Plainfield; her grandchildren, Arthur, Joseph, Robert, Jesse (Rosalind), Spencer (Abbey), Jason, Sarah, Rachel, Justin, Jake, Andrew, Luke, Timothy Jr. & Genevieve; her great-grandson, Jackson; and her sister, Elizabeth Klocek of Tucson, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of over 60 years, Arthur; and seven sisters. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and the family will greet friends after 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Ives, Herbert - Cary  
Herbert Ives Herbert Ives, 88 , formerly of Cary, Illinois, passed away on April 21st. He is survived by a brother Norman Ives in Renton, WA, a brother; Gary Ives in Cedar Creek, TX; a sister Eileen (James) Carter in Ramona, CA; and a sister Lorraine (Sam) Denov in Des Plaines, IL. Herb never married but was a doting uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; Leo and Annie Lou Archer Ives; a brother Alan Ives; and a sister Betty Ives (George) Cummings. Herb's activities included bowling, being in the VFW, helping to start the Little League in Cary, and playing chess, but his favorite pastime was singing barbershop harmony and for many years was an active member in the Elgin barbershop chorus. He was acknowledged in the extended family as the go-to uncle for just plain fun. He will be missed.

Jerrie Patterson Born: August 1, 1944 Died: May 25, 2016 Jerrie Patterson, age 71, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2016 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Modesto, CA on August 1, 1944, the daughter of Glenn and Mary Jean (Moore) Hare. She married Patrick Patterson on October 19, 1985 at the Waukegan Justice of Peace. Jerrie attended the Chapel Church and was devoted to her bible study group. She loved her family dearly and was a great friend to those who knew her. She enjoyed gardening, loved the outdoors and animals. Jerrie is survived by her loving husband Patrick; her children; Steve (Jennifer) Eckhart of Magnolia, Texas, Tony (Nancy) Eckhart of Johnsburg, IL; stepson Pat Patterson of Antioch, IL; and stepdaughter Tiffany Patterson of Antioch; grandchildren, Barrett, Aaron, Joshua, Drake, Natasha, Eve, Bella and Emma; brother Michael (Kay) Hare of Jefferson City, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Susan Lee Eckhart. Visitation will be on Friday May 27, 2016 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory 591 Ridgeview Dr. in McHenry IL. Funeral Service will begin at 8:00pm. Family and friends will meet at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Libertyville on Saturday May 28, 2016 at 11:00am for burial. Wife for 66 years of the late Vincent Greci; mother of Linda (Edward) Ewing, Jim (Marie) and Vincent Jr. (Sheri) Greci; grandmother of Lisa (Frank) Dudzik, Christina (James) Christofferson, Anthony Ewing, Elyse (Jacob) Bandy, Linnea, Jaclyn and Vincent "VJ" Greci III; great grandmother of Savannah, Frank Jr., Joshua, Caleb, John and Leo Dudzik, and Palmer Marie Bandy. Margaret M. Polnow Born: May 26, 1920 Died: May 21, 2016 Margaret M. Polnow, 95, of Woodstock, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016, at Rosewood Care Center in Elgin surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Harvard on May 26, 1920, to James and Ida (Nieman) Kain. She married the love of her life Harold A. Polnow on September 27, 1941, in Harvard. Margaret was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Woodstock for over 60 years. She served as a Sunday School Teacher for many years and was awarded the Martin Luther Award for service. She was a member of the Mary Martha Guild as well as the Lutheran Women's Missionary League. She worked at the Woodstock Food Pantry for more than 18 years. She was also active with the Woodstock Mother's Club for many years. Margaret was privileged to travel to 49 states. But, most of all, her family meant the world to her and she cherished the time she spent with them. She is survived by her sons, Terry (Marie) Polnow and Michael (Marla) Polnow; her grandchildren, Charley Polnow, Erich (Ashley) Polnow, Samuel Polnow, and Sarah Polnow. She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Harold A. Polnow on September 15, 1985; her daughter's in law, Carol Polnow and Linda Polnow; and a granddaughter, Jennifer Polnow. A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2016 from 10am until the time of the funeral service at 11am at St. John's Lutheran Church, 401 St. John's Rd. in Woodstock.
