Ronald R. Meinert Born: October 27, 1940 Died: April 28, 2016 Ronald R. Meinert, 75, of Marengo passed away Thursday morning in his home. He was born on October 27, 1940, in Chicago the son of the late George and Alice (nee Redman) Meinert. Ronald was a U.S. Army Viet Nam Veteran and he retired from Arnold Engineering after 32 years of service. He is survived by his loving companion of 23 years, Carol Rasmussen; three children, Rachel Powers, James Meinert and David (Hannah) Meinert. Three grandchildren, Nolan Hopper, Paisley Meinert and Colt Meinert. Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson St. Marengo, IL 60152 until the time of service at 7:00 P.M. Private interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery at a later date. Barbara J. Mangan Born: May 14, 1944; In Chicago, IL Died: April 26, 2016; In Huntley, IL Barbara J. Mangan, 71 of Huntley, died peacefully, April 26, 2016 with her family by her side. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Monday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, with visitation at Church one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Mary/ St. Vincent DePaul Society. Barbara was born May 14, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Robert and Margaret (Heaney) Artman. On January 26, 1974 she married Dan Mangan. Barb was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was the ultimate grandmother and caretaker, always caring for others. She is survived by her husband, Dan Mangan, her children, Dan (Liz) Mangan, Mike (Clare) Mangan, Marty (Michelle) Mangan and Cathy (Shane) Jones, by her grandchildren: Danny, Ronan, Ava, Maya, Gianna, Carson, Finn and Declan. By her brothers and sisters, Mary (Ernie) Faith, Tim (Debbie) Artman, Nancy (Gil) Brindley and Marge (John) Burke and also by her brother and sister-in-law, Ed (MaryLou) Mangan, and Mel Mangan. Barb was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Miller, Kenneth P. - Woodstock  
Kenneth P. Miller Born: August 4, 1936 Died: April 22, 2016 Kenneth P. Miller, 79, of Woodstock died Friday, April 22, 2016, at JourneyCare Inpatient Hospice Unit in Woodstock. He was born in Chicago on August 4, 1936, to Paul and Hilda (Bauermann) Miller. He married Corinne Clesen on June 19, 1959, in Arlington Heights. Ken worked for Country Financial for 30 years as a Claims Adjuster in McHenry, Lake, and Boone Counties. He served in the United States Army from 1958 until 1962, part of the armored division stationed in Germany and Fort Knox, Kentucky. Ken loved working on his computer organizing family photos and doing genealogy. He loved his dogs Mitzi, and Sparky. He was loved and will be missed. Ken is survived by his wife of 56 loving years, Corinne Miller; a son, Brett Miller; a daughter, Laura Gorski; three granddaughters, Amanda, Madeline, and Grace Gorski; a brother, Chuck (Tina) Miller; and a sister, Caroline (Carl) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents; his in-laws, Mary and Arthur Clesen; and an infant daughter, Michelle. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors Provided by VFW Post 50 40 will be follow in Oakland Cemetery in Woodstock. Mogdans, Anita L. - Algonquin  
Anita L. Mogdans Born: April 17, 1949; in Chicago, IL Died: April 23, 2016; in Barrington, IL Anita L. Mogdans, 67, of Algonquin, formerly of rural Woodstock, died Saturday, April 23, 2016, at JourneyCare's Pepper Family Hospice Center in Barrington. She was born April 17, 1949, in Chicago to Frank A. and Arretus D. (West) Boeckmann. Anita was a nature and animal lover, and most enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be remembered for her fondness of historical trivia and legends, and as being a very creative and artistic person. For many years, Anita worked as an Activities Director at various nursing homes in the area. Survivors include her son, David (Cindy) Mogdans of Algonquin; two sisters, Kathryn Boeckmann of Machesney Park, and Elaine (Ronald) Frenk of Harvard; one brother, Frank (Christine) Boeckmann of Crystal Lake; and her former husband, Karl Mogdans of Woodstock; three step-grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; eight nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Penny. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at the Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock, IL from 9:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service. Interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock.
