Hamang, nee Butler, 61, died peacefully Saturday, February 21, 2015, at RML Hospital in Hinsdale surrounded by her family after a valiant, lifelong battle against juvenile diabetes. Beloved mother of Lloyd (Janet) Hamang. Cherished nana of Kelsey Lucille and Thomas James. Loving sister of Sheila Butler King, Lynn (Burk Schmitt) Butler, Barbara Butler, Jim Butler, Frank Butler and the late Maureen Butler. Devoted daughter of the late Lucile H. Kyle E. Hastings Born: Feb. 7, 1984; in Arlington Heights, IL Died: Feb. 24, 2015; in N. Miami, FL Kyle E. Hastings, age 31, of North Miami, Florida, and formerly of Cary, passed away February 24, 2015. He was born February 7, 1984, in Arlington Heights, the son of Kendall and Linda Hastings who reside in Cary. Kyle is also survived by two sisters, Kirstin (Jeff) Murphy and Brittany (Anthony) Stefani; his nephews, Connor Murphy, Ryan Murphy and Wesley Stefani; as well as his paternal grandparents, Lyle (Jacquelyn) Hastings; and maternal grandfather, William (Pat) Watson. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Charlotte Watson. Kyle was a 2002 graduate of Cary-Grove High School. He was a master mechanic for Mercedes Benz in Miami. Kyle, an amazing son, brother, uncle and friend is loved by so many and will be forever missed. He was so kind and loving to his family, especially his three nephews who he adored and loved. His love was so deep and sincere you couldn't help to feel love and comfort in his presence, along with a good laugh. His family hopes he is finally able to rest stress-free and entertain heaven with his brilliant sense of humor and smiling face. There will be a memorial visitation on Saturday, March 7, 2015, beginning at 2:00 p.m., and concluding with a Memorial Service at 4:00 p.m., at the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home 403 Silver Lake Rd., Cary. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been set up, The Kyle Hasting Memorial, to help fund his nephews education.

Heckathorne, Lawrence R. - McHenry  
Lawrence R. Heckathorne Lawrence R. Heckathorne, age 52, of McHenry, died Friday, February 20, 2015, after battling pancreatic cancer, at his mother's home with his mother, daughter, and Aunt Donna at his bedside. Lawrence was raised on a small farm on Pleasant Valley Road in Woodstock. He attended District 200 Woodstock schools, and excelled in sports, including football, track and baseball. Lawrence worked in construction in Illinois, Wisconsin and Arizona until 2007. His next career was as an on-board service attendant for Amtrak with his favorite run being Chicago to Portland, Oregon and back aboard the Empire Builder. Lawrence enjoyed cooking and improving many dishes with his own touch. He also loved the beautiful voice and music of Sarah Brightman. She touched his life with Phantom of the Opera, Fleurs du Mal and Symphony. Survivors include his daughter, Rachael Hansen of Chicago; his mother, Janet Adams of McHenry; his brother, Eugene (Dorothy) Heckathorne of McHenry; his sister, Marilyn Kay (John) Hill of Belvidere; his aunt, Donna (Earl) Hass of Woodstock; and his best friend of 48 years, David (Wendy) Mucha of Round Lake. He was preceded in death by his father; his loving maternal grandparents, John and Aimee Emery (formerly of Woodstock); and his step-father, Bill Adams. Friends may visit with his family from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 26, 2015, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. The memorial service will be at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Donald W. Hipskind Born: Feb. 2, 1940; in Green Bay, WI Died: Feb. 23, 2015; in Park Ridge, IL Donald W Hipskind, age 75, of Mundelein, formerly of Lake in the Hills, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2015, in Park Ridge. He was born February 2, 1940, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He is survived by his wife, Linda (nee Zordan); his children, Ann (Christian) Stevoff and Tom (Lori Shane) Hipskind; and his grandchildren, Andrew and Claire Stevoff. He was the brother of the late Molly (John) Konitzer; and the uncle of many favorite nieces and nephews. He proudly served in the U.S. Coast Guard. Visitation will be held Thursday February 26, 2015, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m., at Wm. H. Scott Funeral Home, 1100 Greenleaf, Wilmette.
