Survived by wife, Barbara O'Brien; children, Melanie (Bill) Cook and Kathleen (Joe) Baraglia; grandchildren, Billy Cook, Gabriella Cook, Weston Baraglia, Michaela Baraglia, Nadia Baraglia and Joey Baraglia; sister, Michelle (Will) Mullins; nieces and nephews, Dennis Kraus, Dawn Dybeck, Christopher Kraus, Carrie Kraus, Rebecca Huchro, and Carrie Huchro. Preceded in death by father, Grant O'Brien; mother, Katherine O'Brien; and brother, James O'Brien. Visitation Thursday, April 16, 2015, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Willow Funeral Home, 1415 W. Algonquin Road, Algonquin/Lake in the Hills, IL (one mile East of Randall Road). Olson, Gerald E. - Clarendon Hills  
Gerald E. Olson Born: Feb. 1, 1937 Died: April 12, 2015 Gerald "Jerry" E. Olson, age 78, longtime resident of Clarendon Hills, died on Sunday, April 12, 2015. Born February 1, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois, Jerry attended Downers Grove North High School and later Eureka College, where he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. Jerry served a short stint in the United States Marine Corps, and later spent his career driving buses, semis and dump trucks. Jerry is survived by his wife, Gail; and his two daughters, Kelly Conger and Amy Wallace. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, Anna, Kaitlyn, Luke and Aidan along with many family members and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Hilda; his brother, Harry; his son-in-law, John Conger; and beloved dog Abbie. Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15th at Toon Funeral Home, 4920 Main Street, Downers Grove IL. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 16th, at Faith United Methodist Church, 432 59th Street, Downers Grove IL. Interment at Clarendon Hills Cemetery. Ortiz, Enrique R. - Cary  
Enrique R. Ortiz Born: Sept. 24, 1937; in Carrizo Springs, TX Died: April 17, 2015; in Cary, IL Enrique R.Ortiz of Cary, passed away Friday, April 17, 2015, peacefully surrounded by his family. Born on September 24, 1937 in Carrizo Springs, Texas. Enrique was an Army Veteran (8 years served) and a retired employee of Pepper Construction (31 years worked). He is survived by his wife, Juanita F. Ortiz of Cary; daughters, Patricia Bieneman of Cary (Robert Bieneman), Sylvia Fabro of Kewaskum, WI (Scott Fabro), and Rebecca Ortiz of Lake In The Hills (David Abel); 4 granddaughters, 1 great granddaughter and 1 great grandson on-the-way. Otterness, Susanne E. - Cary  
Susanne E. Otterness Born: June 9, 1926; in Ottendorf, Germany Died: April 12, 2015; in Cary, IL Susanne E. Otterness, age 88, of Cary, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born June 9, 1926, in Ottendorf, Germany to Paul H. and Wally (Hempel) Roth. On April 11, 1966, she married Lindsay Scott Otterness in Washington, D.C. They were married 35 years before he passed away in 2002. Susanne was a capable, generous person. Her family came first in everything she did. She enjoyed teaching, gardening, cooking, singing and reading. Survivors include her son, Malte Guette Otterness; daughter, Lalitha Otterness (Simeon) Gasparov; daughter-in-law, Renate (Heinrich) Guette; 4 grandchildren, Maik Guette, Jessica Guette, Angelina Gasparov and Paloma Gasparov; siblings, Luise (Hans) Rothe and Johanna (Helmut) Rothe; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews in Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents; first spouse, Fritz Guette in Germany; and second spouse, Lindsay Otterness in Colorado; sons, Fritz Guette, Heinrich Guette and Markus Guette Otterness; and siblings, Fritz and Hermann. The memorial service celebrating her life will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at First Congregational Church, 461 Pierson Street, Crystal Lake, IL 60014.
