Michael J. Trimpe Born: June 23, 1966 Died: July 23, 2016 Michael J. Trimpe born on June 23, 1966 passed away on July 23rd 2016. He was the beloved son of Margaret and Brian Gittings; wonderful brother of Kathleen (Michael) Crespo and Kristin (William) Olejnik; amazing uncle of Richard and Samantha Crespo and Hunter and Coltin Olejnik; and great uncle of Isabella Vincent; he was the nephew of Berta and George Durr and Craig and Karen Trimpe. He was preceded in death by his Father, Gerald Trimpe; Grandparents, Robert and Leona Trimpe and John and Berta Artinger. Michael attended Palatine High School and is a graduate of U of I (Champaign) after Graduation Mike volunteered his time to the Non-Profit Organization Association of Horizon Inc which provides educational and recreational services for adults with physical disabilities. He has been the the Operations Manager for Horizon for several years and loved his Job. Viewing will be held Saturday 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Services at 4:30 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Hrncar, Margaret - Woodstock  
Margaret Hrncar Born: January 17, 1936 Died: July 24, 2016 Margaret Hrncar, 80 of Woodstock, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2016 at Hearthstone Manor in Woodstock surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Chicago on January 17, 1936 to Fred and Bernice (VanRiemsdyk) Solms. She married Stephen Hrncar on October 26, 1957. Margaret graduated from St. Bernard's School of Nursing in Chicago. She began her career at Woodstock Memorial Hospital and discovered a passion for Emergency Room Nursing. An avid reader and lover of books, Margaret was also a member of the National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her loving family. She is survived by her children, Denise Hrncar, Stephen (Carol) Hrncar, Diana (Steve) Raney, and Michael (Valerie Lang) Hrncar; her grandchildren, Katrina Steadman, Stephanie (Dan) Christensen, Joshua Farrell (Terry Teele), Abigail (Eric) Guzman, and Amber (Josh Sainor) Raney; her great grandchildren, Carolin Arizzi, Dominic Arizzi, Allee Guzman, Brody Guzman, and Dominic Farrell Teele; her brother, Henry (Pat) Solms; her sister, Mary Cecilia Brant; and several nieces and nephews. Margaret was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Stephen Hrncar on May 19, 2012; her brother, Fredric Solms; and her brother-in-law, Jerry Brant. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00pm at the Schneider Leucht Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave. in Woodstock. The visitation will continue Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 9:00am until the time of the funeral mass at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 Lincoln Ave. in Woodstock. Burial will be at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Woodstock. In lieu of flowers, masses in her name would be appreciated. Keuper, Vanessa K. - Harvard  
Vanessa K. Keuper Vanessa K. Keuper, 63, of Harvard died Friday, July 22, 2016 at Mercy Harvard Hospital. She was born in Rockford, IL the daughter of Owen Emerson and Fern Elaine (Vavra) Brown. On July 21, 2001 she married Glen Keuper in Crystal Lake. Vanessa had been a rural postal carrier in South Beloit and enjoyed playing the accordion. Her local congregation greatly enjoyed and will miss her desire for others to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and her musical ministry - they may never be on key again. She was also a longtime resident of Beloit. Survivors include her husband, Glen of Harvard; father, Owen Brown of South Beloit; brother, Larry (Donna) Brown of Tomball, TX; sister, Sheyla O'Dell of Henderson, TX; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother. A memorial gathering will take place from 3:00pm to 6:00pm on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Weir, Karen Jean - Wonder Lake  
Karen Jean Weir Born: October 6, 1976; in Lake Forest, IL Died: July 23, 2016; in Wonder Lake, IL Karen Jean Weir, age 39, of Wonder Lake, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016, at her residence, surrounded by many family and friends. She was born October 6, 1976 in Lake Forest, to Arnold "Lynn" and Sandra (Kleckner) Anderson. On October 20, 2006, she married the love of her life, Todd Weir, in Lake Geneva. Karen was raised in Antioch, where she graduated from Antioch Community High School. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Marquette University, and graduated in 2001 with her PhD in Pharmaceutics from the University of Iowa. Karen immediately joined the Jewel-Osco pharmacy family and went on to achieve the position of manager at the Fox Lake location for her entire career. Among many things, Karen loved the outdoors. When she was not snowmobiling in Wisconsin or boating on Wonder Lake or other Illinois waterways, Karen could always be found 4-wheeling with her husband. She was a devoted wife, caring sister, loving aunt, and thoughtful friend who will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Karen is survived by her husband; her mother, Sandra (Kleckner) Anderson of Antioch; her in-laws, Steven and Susan Weir of Wonder Lake; her brother, Eric (Jennifer) Anderson of Richmond; brother-in-law, Nick (Melissa) Weir of Woodstock; two nieces, Samantha and Lillian; two nephews, Benjamin and Caleb; and her maternal grandfather-in-law, Richard Singer. She was preceded in death by her father. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2016 at Justen's Funeral Home and Crematory, 3700 Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050. A blessing will follow at 6:00p.m. at the funeral home. Judy A. McGurn Born: December 3, 1960; in Evanston, IL Died: July 20, 2016; in McHenry, IL Judy A. McGurn, 55, of Crystal Lake, died Wednesday July 20, 2016 at Centegra Hospital-McHenry. She was born in Evanston on December 3, 1960, the daughter of Jo-Ann Reuter Spielman. She worked for many years at The Breakers in Crystal Lake. She started busing tables and did every job in between before becoming the manager. She had an infectious laugh and wore a constant smile for everybody. She will be remembered for her kindness and love of life. She enjoyed travel and music. Judy leaves behind many customers who will miss her, and fondly remember her. Her family loved her and she loved them. Judy is survived by her fiance, Tony Amber; her mother, JoAnn Spielman; her aunt, Phyllis Hall; a daughter, Emily McGurn, and a son, James McGurn Jr.; three sisters, Karen (Steve Martin) Csech, Barbara Schulze, and Deborah (John) McGurn; nieces and nephews, Paul, Scott and Thomas Csech, Sierra Schulze, Matthew McGurn, Kristina, Katherine, and David Jr. Quinney. Angela Amici Born: December 6, 1929 Died: July 19, 2016 Angela "Dee" Amici, 86, passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at her home. She was born December 6, 1929 in Chicago, to Michael & Josephine (Geraci) Azzaro. On May 28, 1949 she married the late Anthony (Pat) Amici, in Chicago, IL. Angela was very active in the McHenry Choral Club. She loved to sing and taught voice lessons in McHenry to students for over 50 years. She sang with the Lyric Opera in Chicago and for the last 40 years of her life she sang and preached the gospel of Jesus Christ. She is survived by her children; daughter Linda (Bob) Joyce of McHenry; son, Michael (Marla) Amici of McHenry; son, Mark Amici of California; and daughter, Lisa (Ron) Leininger of Texas; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; brother, Vince (Kathleen) Azzaro; sister, Gerry (Arnie) Sambel; sister-in-law, Janet Azzaro. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and brother Richard Azzaro. Funeral visitation will be Saturday, July 23, 2016 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory, 591 Ridgeview Dr., McHenry. Amundsen, Wayne - Marquette, Mi  
Wayne Charles Amundsen Wayne Charles Amundsen, 82, of Marquette, passed away from cardiac arrest on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Marquette Michigan. Wayne was born in Chicago, Illinois to Cecelia (Kuczma) and Olaf Amundsen. He graduated from Tuley High School in Chicago. He served in the U.S. Army in Okinawa from 1954 to 56 and returned home and married his high school sweetheart, Janet Rogers in 1957. They lived in Cary, Illinois for 45 years where they raised their family. While in Cary, Wayne worked for the U.S. Postal Service, also as a service manager at a car dealership, and as a school district transportation manager. Wayne and Janet retired and moved to Marquette, Michigan on Lake Superior. Wayne said living on the lake was like being on vacation every day. He was proud of his Norwegian and Polish heritage. He was resourceful and his motto was "I can do anything." If he didn't know how to do it he would invent a way. He was a kid at heart and children loved him. Wayne enjoyed the outdoors and camping with his family. He was an avid collector of many things, always smiling, thoughtful, patient, and generous. Wayne is survived by Janet, his wife of 58 years; four daughters, Debbie Amundsen (Keith Frederickson), Ann Amundsen (Mike Roantree), Jayne Powers (Steve), and Martha Amundsen (Lisa Altman); his grandchildren, Cody Goodin, Erin Powers (Alex Sedlacek), Erik Powers, and Emma Powers; sister in law, Judy Rogers (Dale Shriver); brother, Norm Amundsen (Elene); sister, Darlene Christensen (Jim). Also surviving are many cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jeanette Miller. Please join us at a gathering to celebrate Wayne's life at Presque Isle Park Pavilion, Peter White Drive, Marquette, MI 49855 on Sunday, July 31, 2016 beginning at 10:00 a.m. with sharing of memories at 10:30 a.m. Brunch and visiting will continue until 12:30 p.m. We welcome sharing of memories during the celebration of his life.
