Peters, Nancy Porter - Marengo  
Nancy Porter Peters Born: Nov. 24, 1926; in Belvidere, IL Died: Jan. 20, 2015; in Marengo, IL Nancy Porter Peters, age 88, of Marengo, passed away peacefully January 20, 2015, at her home. She was born November 24, 1926, in Belvidere to Lynn and Ruby (Dale) Porter. On May 3, 1947, she married Ralph W. Peters, in Belvidere. After Nancy married in 1947, she and Ralph moved to Fairbanks, Alaska where they lived until 1952. They returned to Belvidere to raise a family of four within 10 years. Nancy then returned to college at NIU in 1965. Upon graduating in 1969, she began a career at Woodstock High School teaching English Literature. She retired in 1989. Nancy was an avid Cubs fan. She also enjoyed the companionship of her dog, Sadie. The family would like to thank Kathryn and Peggy, for the wonderful and loving care they provided to Nancy. She is survived by her children, Kim (Doug Scott) Roberts, Katie Kelly, Kelly (Larry) Woyach, and J.D. (Carole) Peters; her grandchildren, Shane (Tara) Karlson, Aarik Karlson, Caitlynn Kelly, Paige and Jenna Woyach, Josh and Mark Peters, and Jess Stieneke; her great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan, and Logan Karlson, and Julie and Nick Karlson; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; her parents; and her two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015, at St. John's Lutheran Church, 6821 Main St., Union. The service will be at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Garden Prairie Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Senior Care Volunteer Network, 360 Memorial Drive, Suite 140, Crystal Lake, IL 60014. Ponio, Teresa S. - Island Lake, Il  
Teresa S. Ponio Born: April 21, 1958; in Rockford, IL Died: Jan. 26, 2015; in Island Lake, IL Teresa Suzanne Ponio (nee Kerns), age 56, of Island Lake, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 26, 2015. She was born April 21, 1958, to Richard and Frances Kerns (nee Hoeppner) in Rockford. On November 16, 1985, she married John W. Ponio in Hampshire. Together they raised their three sons in the Village of Island Lake. Teresa was a stay at home mom and home schooled the boys through high school. She had two degrees of her own; an Associate of Science/Horticulture with emphasis on Floral Shop Management and an Associate of Theology degree with an emphasis on Leadership Training. Teresa was a member of Lakes Region Watercolor Guild and a past Chair of their Newsletter. She was a member of Municipal Clerks of Illinois and the current Clerk for the Village of Island Lake. She also served for 3 years as a stateside Christian missionary in Idaho, Virginia, and Oklahoma. Survivors include her husband, John; sons, Luke, Matt, and John; brother, Michael (Kathy) Kerns of Burnsville, MN; sisters, Jeanette (David) Larson of New Auburn, WI, Patricia (Richard) Ghyselinck of Exeland, WI, Connie (Dean) Hinnerichs of St. Paul, MN; and nieces and nephews, Andrea (Cory) Probasco, Michelle (Jeff) Nevenhoven, Martin (Samara) Gromer, Eric (Wendy) Larson, Ryan Kerns, Nichole (Steve) Mathiason, Evan (Bethany) Kerns, Chad (Cindy) Larson, Adam Gromer, Nicholas Hinnerichs, Lisa (Kevin) Colbert, and Nathan (Elizabeth) Kerns. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Kerns and Frances Kerns Dewey; and nephews, Shawn Gromer and Joshua Ghyselinck. Visitation will be Sunday, February 1, 2015, from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m., and will continue on Monday, February 2nd, from 10:00 a.m. until the service at 1:00 p.m., at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave. (IL Rt. 176), Crystal Lake. Robinson, Kathleen A. - Spring Grove  
Kathleen A. Robinson Born: April 17, 1959; in Chicago, IL Died: Jan. 20, 2015; in Barrington, IL Kathleen A. Robinson, age 55, of Spring Grove, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was born April 17, 1959, in Chicago. She married Daniel Robinson on December 17, 2004. Kathleen was a very special lady to many, and was always recognized for her kindness and her acceptance of everyone she encountered. Kathleen worked as a legal secretary for the Attorney General for many years before turning her focus full time towards her family and homemaking duties. She especially enjoyed and was quite good at finances. She loved going shopping and was always ready to chase down a good sale. In the warmer months, she could be found outside in the garden or focusing on her landscape. Some of her most memorable trips were with her daughter, as they traveled to various pageants in Illinois and Wisconsin. Kathleen was the loving wife of Daniel; doting mother of Ryan (Lisa) Plunkett, Brianna Plunkett; cherished step-mother of Emily, Kathryn, Megan Robinson; dear sister of Kenneth (Doris) McDermott, Michael (Syoko) McDermott, Clinton (Ida) McDermott. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Patrick McDermott. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home, 8103 Wilmot Road, Spring Grove, IL. 60081. Visitation will resume on Monday, January 26, at The Chapel Mundelein, 1966 W. Hawley Street, Mundelein, IL. 60060 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Interment will take place at a later date, privately. Schneiderman, Keith M. - Belvidere  
Keith M. Schneiderman Born: April 30, 1963 Died: Jan. 21, 2015 Keith M. Schneiderman, 51, of Belvidere passed away January 21, 2015, in his home due to a seizure. Keith was born on April 30, 1963, in Woodstock to Melvin & Jean (Mackey) Schneiderman. He spent his childhood in Woodstock. The family relocated to northern Wisconsin in 1979, where he enjoyed many years of boating, fishing, snowmobiling & hunting. Keith graduated in 1981 from Lakeland Union High School in Minocqua, WI. He worked with his dad in the logging industry for many years. He also began his favorite lifelong hobbies; fishing and playing pool. Keith relocated back to Woodstock in 1985 with his family. He worked a variety of jobs, lived a simple life while continuing to follow his passion for pool, fishing and most recently cycling. He would ride almost daily when weather permitted and worked occasionally at the local bike shop when needed. Keith made many friends through his activities and was always willing to lend them a hand at the drop of a hat. As Keith's pool skills improved to an expert level, he taught billiard lessons at several local pool halls and competed at many local and national tournaments. Keith finished as high as 7th place on the professional level. Keith spent many hours practicing with friends at Von's Pool Tables and Darts in Rockford using his custom made cues by Darrin Hill. Keith is survived by and will be missed by his mom, Jean Schneiderman of Belvidere; brother, Mark (Vicki) Schneiderman of Union; sister's, Brenda (Kevin) Zange of Woodstock and Dawn McMichael of Rockford; nieces and nephews, Jason and Allysa Schneiderman, Michael and Tasha Patitucci, Andrew Patitucci, Courtney, Abby, Kevin Jr. and Alex Zange , CJ, Lauren and Dan McMichael; great niece and nephew, Noveli Schneiderman and Michael Patitucci; host of aunts, cousins, and friends; his 2 snakes. Predeceased by father, Melvin; grandparents, Harm & Vida Schneiderman and Vincent & Darlene Mackey. At Keith's wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and his ashes will be spread over one of his favorite fishing spots, and so it shall be. A Memorial Service will be held when it's warm enough to get the boat fired up. Cremation Society of Illinois assisted the family. To extend condolences go to Cremation -Society.com .

Matthew A. Schroeder Born: Feb. 26, 1956; in Chicago, IL Died: Jan. 23, 2015; in Crystal Lake, IL Matthew A. Schroeder, 58, of Crystal Lake passed away at home in the loving presence of his family on January 23, 2015. He was born February 26, 1956, in Chicago to Karl and Letitia (nee McLoughlin) Schroeder. Matt graduated from Washburn Trade School in Chicago in 1980. On April 25, 1981, he married Carol J. Erd. After 19 years of marriage, they were blessed with their son, Johnny, who has been their pride and joy. He worked at ADP then moved on to opening Little Acorns Childcare Center. He had seamless talents from being a patent inventor to a crafted woodworker. Besides his wife and son, Matt will be sadly missed by siblings, Mark, Pam (Steve) Miller, Karen (Tracy) Perry, Debbie Ballard, and Mary Beth Claysen; and Carol's family. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 27th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rte 176), Crystal Lake. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 451 W. Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake. The family is extremely grateful for the excellent care provided during Matt's last stage of cancer. Therefore, memorials can be made in Matt's name to JourneyCare, www.journeycare.org . Patricia P. Schuman Patricia P. Schuman, 74, of Crystal Lake passed away January 23, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Lawrence Schuman; and her two sons, Ernest and Charlie Koberl. There will be a private gathering for family and close friends Wednesday, January 28th from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Davenport Family Funeral Home and Crematory, 419 E Terra Cotta Ave (Rte 176). Seno, Salvatore J. - Elkhorn  
Salvatore J. Seno Salvatore J. "Sal" Seno, age 87, of Huntley, and formerly of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, died Wednesday evening, January 28, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston. Salvatore Joseph Seno was born on October 27, 1927 in Chicago, the son of the late Salvatore and Lucia Seno. Sal was united in marriage to Patricia Klemp on August 19, 1950 in St. Bernadine's Catholic Church in Forest Park. She preceded him in death on January 26, 1999. Sal moved to Twin Lakes in 1973, and to Huntley, 5 years ago. Sal formerly owned and operated with his brothers, Seno and Sons Formal Wear with headquarters in Bellwood, Illinois. He also owned and operated the Crowe's Nest in Twin Lakes. Sal is survived by 1 son, Al Seno of Myrtle Beach, SC; 1 daughter, Terry Santi of McHenry, IL; 4 grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 2 brothers, Aldo of Arizona, Sebastian of Illinois; and 1 sister, Josephine Perry of Illinois; his companion, Dusty. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Ann Donile; and 3 brothers, Rudy, Guy and Louis. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 2, 2015 at St. John's Catholic Church in Twin Lakes. A gathering of friends will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
