Norma Jean Benson Born: Aug. 24, 1931; in Chicago, IL Died: Dec. 22, 2014; in Genoa City, WI Norma Jean Benson, 83, of Wonder Lake, IL, passed away Monday, December 22, 2014, peacefully, at Burr Oak Manor, in Genoa City, WI. She was born in Chicago, IL on August 24, 1931, a daughter of the late Lowell and Mary (Yerox) Dennstedt. She was a graduate of Steinmetz High School. She was married to Kenneth E. Benson on Oct. 1, 1949 in Chicago and he died Dec. 21, 2006. Norma is survived by a daughter, Holly (William) Regner, of Wonder Lake; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded by a son, Kai in 2001; and a sister, Marianna Brutto. Mass of Resurrection at Christ the King Catholic Church, Wonder Lake, IL, at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, with Rev. Fr. Joel Lopez officiating. Friends may call after 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery in Wonder Lake, IL. Blank, Ollie - Harvard  
Ollie Blank Born: Aug. 1, 1930; in Kalamazoo, MI Died: Dec. 23, 2014; in Harvard, IL Ollie Blank, 84, of Harvard passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at his residence surrounded by his family. He was born August 1, 1930, in Kalamazoo, MI to Louis W. and Ruby V. (Tyler) Blank. He served in the U.S Army during the Korean War. On October 28, 1950, he married Evelyn L. Whitacre in Harvard, IL. Ollie worked as a maintenance supervisor at Chrysler until retirement. He enjoyed fishing, nature, and most of all being with his family and friends. He was the most kind, caring and giving man towards people and nature. He was a lifelong member of the American Legion and the Harvard Moose Lodge. Ollie was a charter member of the Harvard Rescue Squad and was patriotic and proud to serve his country and his community. Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; children, Debra Stevenson of Beloit, WI, Doug (Jeanne) Blank of Orlando, FL and Tammy (Jeff) Pankonin of Carpentersville, IL; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial gathering of friends and family will be held from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner Street, Harvard, IL 60033. Inurnment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the family to be determined at a later date. Blaul, Ronald L. - Crystal Lake  
Ronald L. Blaul Born: Dec. 23, 1931; in Chicago, IL Died: Dec. 19, 2014; in Woodstock, IL Ronald L. Blaul, 82, of Crystal Lake died Friday, December 19, 2014, at JourneyCare Hospice in Woodstock. He was born December 23, 1931, in Chicago to Walter and Genevieve (Eckstrom) Blaul. He was raised in Wilmette, attended Bradley University earning an Engineering Degree. On October 8, 1955, he married Patricia Mathers in Chicago. He worked for Minnesota Mining Inc. before moving to Crystal Lake. He owned and operated Blaul Motors, Inc. until his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter, Kathryn (Lee) Reynolds of Genoa City, WI; son, William (Linda) Blaul; grandchildren, Daniel (Julie) Reynolds, Stephani (Cheikh) Diagne, Tayler Blaul, Joseph (Stephani) Reynolds, Darylyn (Brian) Thompson, Alexander Blaul, Robert Blaul; and 9 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son, Ronald E; twin sister, Donna; brother, Walter; and his parents. A memorial visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. service time on Saturday, December 27, at Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 W. Bull Valley Rd. McHenry. Bonogofsky, Darwin E. - South Beloit  
Darwin E. Bonogofsky Darwin E. Bonogofsky, 62, of South Beloit, IL died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, December 24, 2014, in Beloit Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. Son of the late Antone and Lorraine Bonogofsky. Beloved husband and best friend of Peggi; loving father of Sarah (Jake), Teresa; step daughters, Laurie and Bobbie; step sons, Steve and Andy. Loving grandfather to 8 grandchildren. Darwin was employed as the purchasing manager for Follett School Solution for 18 years. Darwin will be forever loved and missed. Brackmann, Irene - McHenry  
Irene Brackmann Born: June 14, 1924; in Addison, IL Died: Dec. 23, 2014; in McHenry, IL Irene Brackmann, age 90 of McHenry passed away at her home on Tuesday, December 23, 2014. She was born on June 14, 1924, in Addison, Illinois, the daughter of Otto and Helene (Plass) Backhaus. On May 14, 1949 she married Edward Brackmann at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Addison. Mrs. Brackmann was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in McHenry. She was employed at Mr. Don's Cleaners for 25 years and enjoyed many activities with her co-workers. She also loved going to her grandchildren's sports games. Irene is survived by her children, Marlene (Chris) Jungmann and Phyllis Womack all of McHenry. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Christiana (Jonas Troka) Jungmann, Edward (Kate) Jungmann, and Carl Jungmann. She also leaves her great-grandchildren; Jesse, Sean, and Landon. Surviving in-laws are Lorriane Backhaus, Jan Brackmann, Marge Brackmann, Luella Manggaard, and William Brackmann. Also many nieces and nephews survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Brackmann; her parents; one brother, Fremont Backhaus; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Art and Evelyn Semeyn, Ruth Brackmann, Herb and Loraine Vierow, Richard Brackmann, Robert Brackmann, and Jim Manggaard. Visitation will be Saturday, December 27, 2014, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory, 591 Ridgeview Dr. McHenry. The Funeral Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be Monday, December 29th, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Elm Lawn Memorial Park 401 E. Buchholz, Alan W. - McHenry  
Alan W. Buchholz Born: Feb. 10, 1958 Died: Dec. 20, 2014 Alan W. Buchholz, age 56, of McHenry, died Saturday evening, December 20, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 10, 1958, in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Wayne and Betty (Renden) Buchholz. On April 11, 1986, he married Joan Teri Damore in Las Vegas. A resident of McHenry for the past 14 years, Alan was a carpenter and enjoyed designing and remodeling homes. He was also an auto mechanic and skilled in auto body repair. Survivors include his wife of 28 years, Joan; three children, Amy Damore-Buchholz of Chicago, Michael Damore-Buchholz, and Jennifer Richards, both of McHenry; three beloved grandchildren, Ethan, Emma and Chase; his father, Wayne (Nela) Buchholz of Florida; and two sisters, Beth (Neal) Scott of Wheaton and Kathy Buchholz of McHenry; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty, in 1997. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2014, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 Charles J. Joseph C. Campagna Born: July 13, 1921 Died: Dec. 21, 2014 Joseph C. Campagna, 93, of Huntley, died peacefully on December 21, 2014. Visitation will be on Sunday, December 28, 2014, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. with a service at 3:00 p.m. all at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. Joseph was born July 13, 1921. He married his wife Louise Zito on May 5, 1951. He served in the United States Army. He worked as a Union Steward Shop Foreman as well as a mutual clerk at the racetracks. He enjoyed fishing, living in Florida and his family.
