Anthony H. Howell

PHOENIX – Anthony H. Howell, who was born "way out in Ogallala," Neb., on July 13, 1974, passed away Thursday, June 6, 2013, while in the loving care of the nurses and chaplains at Sherman Home/Hospice Center in Phoenix.
Tony is survived by his 12-year-old daughter, Emiley Howell (her mother, Heather); his loving mother, Molly Howell of Lake in the Hills; devoted father, Richard Howell of Carefree, Ariz.; his favorite sister, Stacy; fun-loving nieces, Josie and Molly Stawinoga; and their dad, Peter of DeKalb; his angel and aunt, Bonnita (Richard) Sherburne; and his special uncles, Skip (Deborah) Kuehl, Timm (Renee) Kuehl and Carsen (Janet) Kuehl. He also leaves behind many cousins and loyal friends.
Tony graduated from Jacobs High School in 1992. Anyone who knew him couldn't help but know of his love for the game of baseball. Tony followed his Grandma Bonnie and Grandpa Henry's lifetime commitment to the Nebraska Cornhuskers; the family knows they are together in heaven rooting them on. Tony was sarcastic and funny; he had a smile that was contagious.
His family and close friends will have private celebrations to remember his life. We hope that anyone who knew Tony will reminisce about the positive, funny, happy and crazy memories that you have of him as you meet up with people who knew him as well. The family thanks everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
A memorial has been established in Tony's honor and may be sent in his name to: (memo: Sherman Home), 5801 E. Mayo Blvd., Phoenix, AZ 85054-4503.
