Charles “Chuck” Joseph Pokorny

CEDAR PARK, Texas – Charles "Chuck" Joseph Pokorny, 89, of Cedar Park, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012.
He was born on April 16, 1923, in Fox River Grove, to Joseph and Rose (Kvidera) Pokorny.
Mr. Pokorny is survived by his wife, Virginia Pokorny of Cedar Park; children, Pamela Dornquast of Arizona City, Ariz., Jacqueline Byrne and husband Robert of South Bend, Ind., Max Pokorny and wife Carol of Cape Haze, Fla., Michael Pokorny and wife Laurie of Cedar Park, Barbara Martin and husband Dale of Elgin, and Tomi Stanley and husband Ken of Round Rock, Texas; 22 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; eight brothers and sisters, Rosemary, Margaret, Joseph, George, Sister Mary, Eddie, Clara and Judy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Chuck served as a Navy aviator, flying PBYs during World War II. He loved his country, his Mrs., his family, but most of all, his God.
He faithfully witnessed to his Catholic faith all his life.
