Robbie L. Carter

WOODSTOCK – Robbie L. Carter, 91, of Woodstock and formerly of Arlington Heights, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at Florence Nursing Home in Marengo.
She was born in Brownfield on March 2, 1921, the daughter of Charles and Effie (Waters) Trovillion. She married Gerald Carter on March 26, 1939, in Crown Point, Ind.
After moving to Chicago, she became a proud employee of Montgomery Ward until her family became her priority.
From 1948 until 1981, she was a resident of Arlington Heights. She was a stay at home mom, lovingly raising her family, whom she loved to bake and cook for.
She was active in the Homemakers Club and proudly served as its secretary.
She retired with her husband to southern Illinois, where she loved to take long walks on the family property.
She stayed up to date on current events and loved to listen to all kinds of music. After moving back to her family in northern Illinois, she loved to spend time with them and when called upon she loved to take care of the families' dogs.
Her family would like to thank Florence Nursing Home for the loving care she received in her final years.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol (Dick) Sinatra of Chico, Calif., Linda Mitcheltree of Byron and Barbara Carter of Woodstock; two grandchildren, Carolyn Sinatra Gregoire and Richard (Katherina) Sinatra; and two great-grandchildren, Steven and Barbara Sinatra.
