Barbara Frost Obituary
She was born March 15, 1931, in Chicago, to Lyle "Jack" and Carol (Ferren) Frost. She married Eugene H. Frost on June 7, 1952, in Edison Park.
Barb was an addictions counselor for Lutheran Social Services in Harvard and Rolling Meadows for more than 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, canning and working on family genealogy. She also bred and raised shih tzu dogs.
She is survived by her husband, Gene of Harvard; children, Dan (Becky) Frost of Harvard, Sue (Roger) Oberman of Woodstock, Bob (Pam) Frost of Harvard and Kathy (Bob) Cox of Machesney Park; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; infant twin daughters; and son, Timothy.
The visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard. A funeral service will be at 6 p.m. in the funeral home with Rev. Eugene Wille and Lay Minister Roger Oberman officiating.

Dear Gene, Dan, Kathy, Bob and Sue,
I am so very, very sad to hear of the loss of your wonderful wife/mother. I loved Barb so much and we had kept in touch via email through the years. I did not know she was ill. My deepest sympathy goes to all of you. She was a very strong woman and my mentor for so many years. I loved her so much. Please know that all of you and your families are in my heart and I'm sending each one of you my thoughts and prayers. We talked about so many life things these past years and she was so proud of all of you and her grandchildren. My heart really hurts for all of you. She is know reunited with her dearest friend.

To: Gene, Kathy, Sue, Bob and Dan. Please accept our most deepest sympathy. We didnot know Barb had passed on. Jeff is on his way to our house in Florida. He would have stayed in Harvard and paid his respects in person if we would have known before Wednesday. We talked just a few weeks ago and Barb wanted to show me how to can foods and to learn gardening. She was very talented and we will miss her so. She wanted me to plant sunflowers and I will do so next spring but I lack her green thumb. If I succeed, they will remind me daily of her talented spirit. We knew she had some health problems but never expected her to leave us so unexpectedly. She was a great lady. We will keep her and your family in our prayers. God bless the entire Frost family.
