Agnes Boehmke Obituary
She was born Jan. 15, 1922, in Crystal Lake, to Albert R. and Emma W. Zilly.
She attended school in Crystal Lake and graduated from Crystal Lake High School, Class of 1940. She married Donald H. Boehmke on April 27, 1947. She enjoyed baking and cooking for her family, was a foster mother to many area children, and was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake.
She is survived by four children, James (Della) Boehmke, Sheri (Alan) Clark, Patricia Caywood and Robert (Michelle) Boehmke; her grandchildren, Michael and Erik Boehmke, Amy (Jerry) Zimmer, Jill and Todd Clark, Erin and Matthew Caywood, and Nathan, Jared and Caleb Boehmke; her great-grandchildren, Jacob and Joshua Clark and Samantha Zimmer; and her sister, Lorraine Wessler. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald in 1999; an infant son, Larry; an infant daughter, Cheryl; and her brothers, Paul, Erv and Norman
Friends may visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 24, at Querhammer & Flagg Funeral Home, 500 W. Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake. The visitation will continue from 10 a.m. until the service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 25, at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 932 McHenry Ave., Crystal Lake. The Rev Paul Schuth will officiate. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 405 Lake Zurich Road, Barrington, IL 60010; or Prince of Peace Music Fund at the above address. For online condolences, visit www.querhammerandflagg.com.
