Angel Bounds Obituary
He was born Sept. 26, 1998, in Harvard, to Isabel Mendez and Lawrence Bounds.
He loved to work with his hands and loved to create and build things. He was artistic and enjoyed drawing and painting, and he was a good student, always striving to do well in school. He loved music and golf, and he always enjoyed spending time with his sister, Leticia. He also loved science and finding out how things worked; if there ever was a defect in something, he was more intrigued to have it because he could take comfort in knowing it would go to good use and that he would be the one to use it. He always was very affectionate to those around him.
He is survived by his parents, Isabel Mendez of Harvard and Lawrence Bounds; his sister, Leticia; his grandparents, Alex (Nikki) Mendez of Indiana and Sanjuana Mendez of Harvard; his uncle, Carols Mendez of Chicago; his aunt, Joanna; his uncle, Alex of Indiana; his half-sister, Emma Casas; and many other family members.
The visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the funeral at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard. The Rev. Nicholas Damiano will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Harvard.

May God comfort you and your family. We are new to the area but my daughter was a classmate of Angels and she said her last memory of him was with his sister at school with a big smile on his face. Call on God in your time of need and he will be there to comfort you. Cry on his shoulder and he will listen. I am very sorry. May God bless you in your time of need

My heart is continuing to ache for Isabel. I am terribly sorry for your loss. His earthly name was Angel but all of us who knew him or knew of him all know that he is a true Angel in heaven right now. My son Trever went to school with him and always had nice things to say of Angel. Every time I have ever seen Angel he was always quiet and well mannered. We will miss you Angel

I am very sad for his family. My son attended school with Angel and says he was a very good friend. Angel was always so quiet and well behaved. I am hurting for his mother and am praying for her and Leticia. You will be missed Angel.

Dear Leticia and Family--I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your brother, Angel. I, too, lost a brother when I was about your age, Leticia. If your experience is like mine, you will remember Angel with tears now, and as time goes by you will remember him with many smiles, as well. I just heard the news about Angels passing. I am sad to hear that he is no longer with us. He was a very Happy, Sweet, Kind Hearted boy full of energy. My prayers and thoughts go out with all of you Isabella, Leti, San Juana y Carlos. May God give you strengh during this difficult time.
