Tiffany S. Swanson Born: March 9, 1978; in Elgin Died: April 13, 2014 Tiffany S. 'Tiff' Swanson, age 36, died Sunday, April 13, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was born March 9, 1978, in Elgin, to Robert J. and Kathleen (Koranda) Swanson. A longtime resident of Crystal Lake, Tiffany was a 1996 graduate of Crystal Lake Central High School. She was a well rounded student and was loved by all. She will forever be remembered for her grace and constant smile throughout her courageous battle. In High School she played softball, basketball and volleyball. She received a volleyball scholarship for her education at Manhattan College in New York majoring in physical therapy. Tiffany lived in New York and New Jersey until 2006, returning to Illinois for health reasons to be near her family. One of the last things she enjoyed from her bucket list was skydiving. Survivors include her son, Jacob of Brookfield, WI; her mother, Kathleen Swanson of Fox Lake; her father Robert Swanson of Twin Lakes; her significant other, Chris Cunningham of McHenry; brothers, Robert (Mary) Swanson, Jr. of Brookfield, WI, Geoff (Mary) Swanson of Tucson, AZ, Bryan (Adrienne) Swanson of Brookfield, Brett (Kathy) Swanson of Oconomowoc, WI; seven nieces and six nephews. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at 7:30 p.m. at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry, IL 60050.
