POPLAR GROVE – Anthony J. "Tony" O'Donnell, 48, of Poplar Grove, formerly of Woodstock, died Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at SwedishAmerican Medical Center in Belvidere.|
He was born in Woodstock on Dec. 12, 1964, to Edward and Rosina (Curran) O'Donnell. He married Terri Jo Walter on June 6, 1992, in Marengo.
Tony was a very mechanical person. He loved working on cars and following car races. He was a member of "Good Tymes Car Club" and loved talking cars with all of the other members. He worked on a farm and drove a milk truck. He loved having fun and being surrounded by everyone who loved him. He will be missed and always remembered.
He is survived by his wife, Terri Jo O'Donnell; his father, Edward O'Donnell; a son, Michael O'Donnell; a daughter, Ashley O'Donnell; a grandchild, Aubri O'Donnell; two brothers, Michael (Becky) O'Donnell and Lawrence (Linda) O'Donnell; and three sisters, Patricia (David) Adams, Mary (Kevin) Benton and Lucy (Anthony) Carney.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rosina.
The visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16, at Schneider-Leucht-Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. Tony's brother-in-law, Pastor Dave Adams, will preside.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
