Arthur Wechet Obituary
He was born July 11, 1930, in Chicago, to Arthur and Gertrude (Dorsch) Wechet. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He married Carole Russi on Dec. 7, 1974, in Evanston.
He was employed with Clow Corp. in Bensenville for 19 years, where he was the general foreman in the foundry. After his retirement, he went to work at Waukegan School District 60 as the head custodian for 14 years. In addition, he was the owner of Arts Figurines in Zion.
He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Huntley and was a member of the Waukegan Moose Lodge.
He was a music lover and enjoyed dancing. He loved the outdoors and camping. He was a talented figurine painter and a true perfectionist.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved spending time with his family and his special companion, Heidi.
He is survived by his wife, Carole; his children, Christopher (Heather) Wechet of Cary and Debbie (Kurt) Meyn of Elk Grove Village; his grandchildren, Samantha and Brandon Meyn and Aidan, Logan and Cameron Wechet; his sister-in-law, JoAnn (Wolfgang) Stein; a niece, Jackie Satzke; a nephew, Kevin (Cheryl) Stein; and his great-niece and -nephew, Nicholas and Faith Satzke.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
The memorial visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. service Friday, June 10, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Huntley/Dundee Road, Huntley.
