Bonnie Rae (Schuring) Wilcox Obituary

MARENGO – Bonnie Rae (Schuring) Wilcox, 71, of Marengo, died Sunday, April 4, 2010, at Christa Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels, Texas.
She was born July 4, 1938, in Woodstock, to Raymond and Evelyn (Reese) Schuring. She married Harold "Marty" Wilcox on Feb. 7, 1959.
She was a devoted daughter, mother and wife who enjoyed her many years as a homemaker. Spending time chatting and checking in with family and dear friends who lived near and far was part of her caring nature. She was loved by all who knew her.
Survivors include her three sons, Marty (Colleen) Wilcox of Marengo, Mark (Pam) Wilcox of New Braunfels, Texas, and Brian (Penny) Wilcox of Belvidere; her five grandchildren, Megan Michelle, Levi Hunter, Cody Reese, Justin Markus and Taylor Marie; her one brother, Alan (Mary Jane) Schuring of Marengo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond Schuring; and her husband, Harold M. Wilcox.
A short service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 12, in the mausoleum at McHenry County Memorial Park on Route 14 in Woodstock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 208 S. LaSalle St., Suite 1500, Chicago, IL 60604-1242.

God bless you in this time of sorrow. As Bonnie's cousin I have very good memories of us when we were children. I especially remember when Grandpa & Grandma Meyer took us to Florida with them. Also, I remember the Pinochle games with Bonnie and Marty.
