MARENGO – Brian K. Hopper, 37, of Marengo, passed away Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, in Sycamore.|
He was born Oct. 14, 1975, in Woodstock, the son of Keith A. and Donita G. (nee Yerk) Hopper.
Brian was employed by Fastenal in Crystal Lake, a member of McHenry County Auxiliary Sheriff's police, a former McHenry County sheriff's correction officer and a former volunteer member of the Marengo Fire Department and Rescue Squad.
He is survived by his parents; son, Nolan Hopper, and Nolan's mother, Rachel Powers; brother, Mike; sister, Jill; fiancée, Jennifer Wilson, and her two children, Tyler and Sydney Wilson; and paternal grandfather, Wayne Hopper.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Jeanette Hopper; maternal grandparents, Bill and Peggy Yerk; aunt, Karen Cook; and uncle, Jerry Hopper.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, at Zion Lutheran Church, 408 Jackson St., Marengo, and from 10 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23. Interment will be in Marengo City Cemetery.
