Christine Prondzinski Obituary

WHEATFIELD, Ind. – Christine R. Prondzinski, 81, of Wheatfield, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011, at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born Oct. 25, 1929, in Chicago, to the late Stanley and Constance (Stachowiak) Walkowiak. She was a 1947 graduate of Tuley High School. She married Chester Prondzinski on Oct. 24, 1953, in Chicago.
She started as a homemaker, and as time went on, she started to work for the General Time Co. as a lab technician for the Apollo Space Project. After that, she worked for American Can Co. and was involved in various roles, including the AFLCIO.
Finally, she completed her working years at Gearmaster of McHenry, a division of Emerson Corp.
She is survived by her loving husband, Chester; a daughter, Carol (Ed) Lagestee; her sons, Craig (Christine Viola) Prondzinski and Christopher (Mary) Prondzinski; four loving grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Louis and Chester; and her sisters, Eleanor and Eve.
Friends may visit from 9 a.m. until the funeral Mass celebration at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at St. Patrick Catholic Church of McHenry.
There will be a memorial luncheon after the Mass celebration at Maravella's Restaurant in Fox Lake.
