McHENRY – Christopher J. Pilat, 27, of McHenry, died Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2012, in Sycamore.|
He was born Feb. 18, 1985, in Woodstock, to James B. Jr. and Laureen (Gallagher) Pilat.
He attended Marian Central High School in Woodstock, where he was active on the student council and enjoyed playing football. After graduating from high school in 2004, he attended McHenry County College, and was pursuing a bachelor's degree in business administration at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb.
An avid Chicago Bears fan, Christopher enjoyed playing volleyball, watching wrestling and going out with his friends.
Survivors include his parents, Jim and Laureen of McHenry; a sister, Jennifer (Rocco Venuto) Pilat; two brothers, William J. Pilat of McHenry and Mike Budreck of Sycamore; his grandmother, Alvina Pilat of Wonder Lake; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, William and Eileen Gallagher; and his paternal grandfather, James B. Pilat Sr.
Friends may visit with his family from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, at Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, 3700 W. Charles J. Miller Road, McHenry.
Interment will be private.
His family suggests memorials to one's favorite charity or to his family.
