Donald A. Kane, 85, of Huntley died of natural causes on February 26, 2018 in Woodstock.

He was born March 22, 1932 in Struthers, OH the son of Martin and Mary (Ciminelli) Kane. After high school, he enlisted in the Army. He then graduated from the American Academy of Art in Pittsburgh, PA with a degree in advertising and moved to Chicago, IL. He then took a position as an Art Director with NW Ayer.

Donald was a great family man and loving father. He married Jeanne Whalen in 1967 and the couple had a beautiful baby boy, Christopher in 1971. Throughout his life, Donald maintained an interest in car racing and golf. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Cassandra and Alexander. His family and friends will always remember him as a talented and caring person.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne of Huntley; and his devoted son, Christopher (Julie) of Pingree Grove; grandchildren, Cassandra & Alexander; and brother, Robert (Marcia) Kane of Warren, Ohio and their children, Tricia (Glen) Wineland, Robert (Jill) Kane, and Elizabeth (Joe) Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 noon Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road in Huntley. Burial with Military Honors will follow in the Huntley Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church prior to mass from 11:00 to Noon. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Donald's life.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful doctors and nurses for the excellent care they gave Donald over the last few months of his life.
