McHENRY – Donald J. "Donny" Milbratz, 55, of McHenry, passed away Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, in his home.|
He was born July 18, 1957, in Chicago, to Donald A. and Geraldine F. (McGee) Milbratz.
Donny was a big-time Cubs and Blackhawks fan. He kept track of all the details, scores and information of the teams. He enjoyed cards and dice, and was very sociable and friendly to all. He mostly enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He was very diligent in remembering dates and information of all he knew – birthdays, anniversaries and all important occasions.
Donny fought through many challenges physically and emotionally, but he never gave up.
Survivors include his mother, Geraldine, of McHenry; a sister, Gloria Behrens of McHenry; a brother, Tommy Milbratz of McHenry; a niece, Jessica Hocin, and nephew, Jason Hocin; and great-nieces, Aubrie and Alyssa, and great-nephew, Anthony.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Cecelia McGee; his father; a nephew, Jeffrey Hocin; and brothers-in-law Tim Hocin and Wolfgang Behrens.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, at Colonial Funeral Home, 591 Ridgeview Drive, McHenry, and will continue Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 10:45 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery.
