Doris Jewel Wagner (nee Fringer), 90, passed away January 6, 2018 peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side.

She was born May 22, 1927 in Tower Hill, IL to Charles and Lula Fringer. She was one of ten children. Doris was a long time resident of Alden, IL and served McHenry County graciously as a foster parent with her husband Ralph for over 40 years. They fostered over 1,138 children. She is now in her eternal home hearing "well done my good and faithful servant" Doris was the definition of The Proverbs 31 Woman. "She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future."

Doris is survived by her 9 loving children, Sharon Carlson, Gary (Nancy) Wagner, Pam Goodman, Mark Wagner, Diane Lasch, Laurie (Joel) Garmon, Annette (Richard) Roray, Charles Wagner, Robert (Mary) Wagner; brother, Glenn; and sister, Jean; beloved grandchildren, Sharon, Heidi, Butch, Brian, Tracy, Bianca, Tyler, Gary Quinntarsa, Jenelle, Bradley, John, Aireal, Jason, Rachel, Breanna, Ashley, Cory and Karsten. She is also survived by many great and great great grandchildren, and hundreds of foster children.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ralph Albert Wagner, several siblings, and her loyal canine companion, Johnny B Good.

Inurnment will be 11:00 am on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the McHenry County Memorial Park, A Celebration of her wonderful life will be held immediately following the services at the Woodstock Public House (old court house) on the square where all of her children were adopted. This is where Doris' legacy began and all are welcome to celebrate her wonderful life!
