CRYSTAL LAKE – Frank Vito Sr., 87, of Crystal Lake, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013, in McHenry.|
He was born Aug. 8, 1925, to Joseph and Christina Vito (nee Zipparro) in Chicago. On July 7, 1945, Frank married Lorraine Anderson in Chicago. Frank was a member of the United States Navy and spent most of his employment as a carpenter.
Frank was known for meticulous care of his house and lawn, but most importantly for the extreme love and dedication to his family.
Frank is survived by his wife, Lorraine Vito (nee Anderson); son, Dennis (Karen) Vito; daughter-in-law, Kelly Vito; brothers, Joe (Lucille) Vito and Vince (Gail) Vito; granddaughters, Valerie (Trey) Breeden, and Victoria, Angela and Abbey Vito; grandsons, Anthony (Elizabeth), Michael and Christopher Vito; and great-grandchildren, Mitchell and Madeleine Breeden and Ava Vito.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sons, Donald Vito and Frank Vito Jr.
The visitation will be from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, with a 3:30 p.m. service at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 419 E. Terra Cotta Ave. (Route 176), Crystal Lake.
