Gerad Fix Obituary

CARY – Gerad Franklin Fix, 77, of Cary, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 21, 2011, at his home.

He was born July 9, 1933, in Detroit, to Julius Franklin and Margaret Bernadine (Renaud) Fix.

He attended Cass Tech and Wayne University Business Institute in Detroit. He served in the Air Force Reserve. Most of his career was spent with Compugraphic Corp. He enjoyed skiing and sailing, also traveling with his wife.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Hennings Fix; a son, Kenneth Robert Fix of St. Clair, Mich.; a daughter, Kathleen Ann Fix of Minneapolis; two granddaughters; a grandson; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of his life will be Saturday, July 30, at Trout Valley Lodge.

The family has requested no flowers.
