Harvey A. Fedrowitz, 95, of Union, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry.

Born July 31, 1923 in Riley Township, the son of Fred and Martha (Zickuhr) Fedrowitz. A veteran of the US Navy serving in WWII from January 1942 - January 1946. Married Mary A. Zemla on December 26, 1950 in Huntley. Harvey was an Agricultural Farmer for 35 years retiring in 1980. Past Director of Union State Bank for 35 years, past Director of McHenry Farm Services, past Director McHenry Co. Farm Bureau, past President of McHenry Co. Agricultural Extension Council, past Commander and 60-year member of Union American Legion Post, member of Woodstock VFW and member of Belvidere American Legion Post.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Joseph (Mitchell Vann) Fedrowitz of Durham, NC., Sue (Curtis) Plude of Belvidere, Lynn (George) Wiesneth of Huntley, Marcia (Jay) Burton of Kansas City, MO, Carol (Chris) Hermes of Kaukauna, WI, Charles (Gena) Fedrowitz of Kirkland; 21 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great-grandchildren and 2 on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Rudy Heath; 9 brothers and sisters, Eric, Ernie, Clarence and Otto Zickuhr, Werner and Henry Fedrowitz, Edna Whitacre, Viola Ackman and Amelia Dahlke; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation Saturday, September 8, 2018 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson Street, Marengo, IL. Memorial service to begin at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in his name to Zion Lutheran Church or .

A private inurnment will be held in Union Cemetery.
