ROCKFORD – Herman Fred Eichholz, of Rockford, formerly of Harvard, died Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at home.|
He was born Dec. 1, 1959, to Albert and Violet (Knoll) Eichholz in Chicago.
Herman had worked at the True Value distribution center in Harvard. He enjoyed clipping out news articles about the Chicago Bears, walking around town in Harvard and, in the past, playing softball.
Survivors include his daughter, Christina Eichholz of Rockford; son, Herman Eichholz of Roscoe; five siblings, Darlene Eichholz of Woodstock, Henry Eichholz of Colorado Springs, Colo., John Eichholz of Harvard, Mary Rath of Williams Bay, Wis., and Walter Eichholz of Chemung; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Catherine Blazier.
The visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the funeral home. The Rev. Herb Priester will officiate. Interment will be in Mount Auburn Cemetery in Harvard.
