INGLESIDE – James A. Beake, 65, of Ingleside, passed away peacefully in his sleep Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013.|
He was born in Chicago on March 12, 1948, to the late Richard and Lorraine (nee Dost) Beake. James was a Vietnam War veteran, having served proudly in the United States Army Special Forces in Airborne Long Range Patrol (LPR) 51st Infantry F Company. He was an Airborne Ranger 75th PCo. More recently, he worked for the Illinois Tollway for 25 years.
James is survived by Marcia Beake, his wife of 37 years; his children, Shaw (Bryan) Pickens, Darcie (Bill) Addis and Rich Beake; his grandchildren, Lauren, Zakk, Sydney, Ben and Chase; and his brothers, Curtis (Ed) Beake and Clinton (Dan) Beake.
Friends of the family may join them for a memorial visitation from 10 a.m. to noon Friday, Oct. 11, at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, with the memorial service commencing at noon. Interment will be private.
