Lawrence "Larry" R. Fox, 86, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away November 6, 2018 at his home.
He was born January 25, 1932 in Waukegan to Lawrence and Mary Fox. Larry was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War, earning the Combat Infantry Badge, United Nations Korea Medal, Nation Defense Service Medal, and Korean Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars. He was a member of the Operators Union 150 and a member of St. Mary of Annunciation in Mundelein. Larry was a lifelong workaholic and enjoyed boating. He was a loving man who was well liked by everyone he knew. He was always willing to give a helping hand and will be terribly missed by all.
Larry is survived by his children, Lori (Lee) Jurka, Larry A. (Linda) Fox, and Brenda R. Fox; his grandchildren, Brad (Kathy) Fox and Rob (Elizabeth) Fox; with a great-grandchild on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bernice Fox.
All arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Cancer Research, the Alzheimer's Association, or Journeycare Hospice.

To Brenda and her family, I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. My deepest sympathy to you. I remember what a kind man he was in my younger days when Brenda and I grew up together. Surely he will be missed by many friends and family.

So sorry I never got to meet your Dad, Brenda.....I always wanted to visit him with you and have him make us burgers on the grill. Hold on to your beautiful memories and the times you spent together on Sundays watching the games together. My prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time.
